Nothing it was perfect.

The hotel has a stunning historic charm that attracted me during my visit to Craiova. I really enjoyed the breakfast. the wide variety of choices was impressive and definitely one of the best I experienced in Romania. It was also convenient to walk to attractions like the Craiova's Art Museum and the Musical Fountain within a short distance. I found the many stairs quite challenging during my stay, making it a bit difficult to navigate around the property.

An excellent hotel with great rooms and amenities.

Parking is a major issue here. The limited parking slots are insufficient, and I found it nearly impossible to park my vehicle without constantly being on alert. The constant stairs to navigate throughout the hotel, especially to the reception and the dining areas, were quite exhausting, making it difficult for anyone with mobility issues. the decor prioritizes aesthetics over comfort, leaving the dining experience in the basement feeling less than welcoming.

the hotel was nice enough, but the absoluteley unbearable parking situation made me rethink my stay. plus, air con struggled so badly, I could feel the sweat dripping down my back. I almost thought about giving a good review, but I certainly won't when I didn't even get a complimentary upgrade for my trouble.

What stands out – both good and bad

The hotel boasts a beautiful historic building, and I especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast options, which surpassed my expectations.

Nevertheless, I faced issues with check-in clarity, and the lingering cigarette smell in the room affected my comfort.

I loved the charming atmosphere of the hotel, which is a beautifully restored 19th-century mansion. The breakfast was a highlight with a fantastic variety that catered to all tastes. The spacious room, combined with high ceilings and elegant decor, made for a luxurious experience. I found the steep stairs to be quite challenging, especially after a long day of exploring.

It was just a decent option for a rapid stop in Craiova with extraordinarily good value for money. The breakfast spread was impressive and provided a great start to the day. Avoid peak hours for breakfast to make things smoother.

staying at the continents was a treat! the historic building added charm, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. i loved how close we were to major attractions, making it easy to explore. the breakfast was outstanding, offering a fantastic variety to satisfy every taste. plus, the option to indulge in a massage was a nice touch.

i would definitely recommend this hotel.
